Maybe Monograms?

Hi darlings!

How do we feel about monograms? I'm constantly surrounded by them (one of the perks of going to college in the South), and even after almost two years, I still don't know how I feel about them. I've seen them on literally everything; running shorts (I'm not kidding...), bags, jackets, backpacks, necklaces (EVERY girl at Wake has one), planners, baseball hats, those plastic cup things, socks, sweaters, you name it, I've seen someone at Wake with their monogram slapped onto it.

To give you an idea of my version of monogramming: I got my sheets and towels monogramed before coming to college so people wouldn't steal them in the laundry room. Still happened.

Anyway, I'm going to Carolina Cup this year (stay tuned for a post about that), and all the girls get monogrammed Marley Lilly hats. At first, I thought I might be cool and unique and just forgo the hat. Then I thought, "when in Rome (or in Camden, SC, the location of Carolina Cup)." Apparently, they have lots of uses after Carolina Cup, like the beach (the day I wear a hat on the beach...), walking around with a sundress on (maybe in Savannah or Charleston?), and you can wear it every year to Carolina Cup. With a $36 price tag, the jury is still out on this one... If anyone has any thoughts, hit me up.

Anyway, while I was on the Marley Lilly site, I came across bags, boots, hats, rings, bikini's, shirts, literally anything that can be monogrammed. And here's the weird thing: I think it's actually kind of cute. Don't know if I've just been in the South for too long and it's actually starting to rub off of me, or it's just been a really long Tuesday, but maybe, just maybe, I might get something monogrammed.

I'll keep you posted.

Later, alligators!

I've got a LITTLE suprise!

Darlings, the day I've been waiting for since I was initiated happened on Friday... you guessed it! I got my LITTLE!!! She's the most precious person alive, and I knew I wanted her from the second I met her. We were a one-to-one match for each other, and I knew I got her as my Little, but I wanted her to be surprised at the BIG reveal on Friday. So, I told her someone else put her as their number one, and I didn't get her to throw her off. Horrible? Yes. Did I feel terrible about it? Yes. But was the surprise worth it when she lifted up her poster and saw that I was her Big? Absolutely.

We (my Big, me, and my new Little) may or may not have started tearing up of happiness as we ran toward each other... no judgment, right?

To say I'm stoked would be an understatement. Welcome to The Blondtourage, Little one!
